Welfare Support Policy 

Purpose
The welfare and well-being of our learners are of utmost importance. This policy outlines the support available to students facing emergencies or hardship while studying at our school in Dublin, Ireland.

24/7 Emergency Support
Our institution provides a 24/7 manned emergency phone service to ensure that students can access immediate assistance at any time. This service is available to all international learners, whether they are enrolled in short-term or long-term courses. The emergency phone can be used in cases of:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Personal safety concerns
  • Accommodation crises
  • Financial hardship
  • Emotional distress
  • Other urgent welfare needs

Additional Welfare Support

Beyond emergency assistance, our school also provides the following welfare support services:

  • Student Support Officers: Available during office hours to provide guidance on non-emergency matters.
  • Accommodation Assistance: Help with housing-related issues, including finding safe and comfortable accommodation.
  • Cultural Adjustment Support: Resources and guidance to help students adapt to life in Dublin.
  • Health and Well-being Resources: Information on accessing healthcare services, mental health support, and maintaining well-being.
  • Regular Welfare Check-ins: Scheduled check-ins with students to assess their well-being, progress and offer support.
  • Email Check Feedback: Regular email communication to gather student feedback on welfare services and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitoring of Attendance: Regular tracking of student attendance to identify those who may be struggling or at risk.
  • Follow-ups for Non-attendance: Proactive outreach to students who are not attending classes to offer support and assistance where needed.
  • Coordination with Teachers and Staff: Regular communication with teachers and other school staff to identify anomalies in learner participation and behavior, ensuring early intervention and support.
